City of Dauphin
The City of Dauphin provides the best of both worlds. With a population of about 8,500 people, it provides many of the services one would expect from a larger urban centre, yet still provides the rural lifestyle that is the dream of so many people. Dauphin is less than an hour's drive of Deep Blue Lake in the Duck Mountain Provincial Park, Clear Lake in Riding Mountain National Park, Rainbow Beach Provincial Park on Lake Dauphin, Lake Manitoba Narrows on Lake Manitoba, Lake of the Prairies along the Saskatchewan border, and Winnipegosis Beach on Lake Winnipegosis. In all seasons, the Dauphin area abounds with endless outdoor recreational activities such as boating, fishing, golfing, snowmobiling, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, quading, hunting, snow-shoeing, skating and more! Other activities offered in Dauphin include curling, hockey, dance, yoga, fitness centres, taekwondo, and music lessons just to name a few.
From pre-school to Community College, kids in Dauphin enjoy the benefits of one of the best school divisions in the province. The Dauphin high school is fully equipped to offer a number of vocational learning options, and Assiniboine Community College continues that education into post-secondary and adult learning options.
Extensive health care facilities are available right in the City of Dauphin. Dauphin Medical Clinic boasts 13 family practitioners, and is located across the street from the 90-bed Dauphin Regional Health Centre.

Dauphin is known as the "City of Festivals" during the summer months with the largest being Dauphin's Countryfest - Canada's longest running country music festival. This four day festival is held every July long weekend and features three stages for performances. Canada's National Ukrainian Festival is the second festival held annually in Dauphin and features authentic food, dance and entertainment that will delight your senses and celebrate our Ukrainian heritage. Both festivals are held at the Selo Ukraina site south of Dauphin and camping sites and facilities are available for these first class events.
